And Then There Were Three
Flying Cow came to Lubbock with no plans to open a store. Joshua and Britney Arceneaux were visiting friends Deborah and Justin Price, who were opening Armadillo Camera. When a realtor showed them an available spot near 98th and Quaker. The space was right, the price was reasonable, and a team member from the Midland store was already moving to Lubbock.
Everything fell into place. In 2021, around Flying Cow's fourth anniversary, the doors opened in Lubbock. The community embraced the store with open arms, existing friendships deepened and new ones formed in what quickly felt like home.
Today, our Lubbock store is managed by a team that loves this city. You'll often find Atlas, the shop pup, snoozing in the back while the team helps customers find the right balm for their skin. Come say hi, we'd love to meet you.
What to Expect
Our Lubbock store carries the full Flying Cow skincare line from our bestselling Restore and Golden Tallow to baby-safe formulas, beard balm, and seasonal favorites. Everything is available to sample, and the team is happy to help you find what works for your skin.
You'll also find handmade goods from local artisans through our A Place for the Maker collective. Each item has a story, and each maker has a QR code so you can follow and support them long after your visit.
Whether you're a Texas Tech student, a Lubbock local, or just passing through the South Plains, we'd love to see you.
Lubbock, Texas
Lubbock is the largest city in the Texas panhandle and the hub of the South Plains. Beyond the Red Raiders and cotton fields, there's a thriving food scene, live music at every turn, and more to explore than most people expect.
After your visit, check out some of our favorite local spots. Grab a cortado at the coffee shop near Texas Tech, try Dirk's for the best fried chicken in town, or cool down with frozen custard, the butter pecan is a team favorite. Buddy Holly Hall hosts Broadway shows, comedy, and concerts, and the Science Spectrum is perfect for families.
With more music venues per capita than any city in Texas, Lubbock always has something playing. Check out Cooks Garage for concerts, Adventure Park for family fun, or the Ranching Heritage Center for a deeper look at the region's history.
